Last week, as a thank you for all their hard work, the Junior Wardens went on a visit to Fontwell Racecourse.   It was a brilliant day where they got to see all the areas that would normally be out of bounds to the general public.   They visited the jockeys’ weighing in room, their changing rooms, the parade ground, the stables and were even able  to race on the racecourse itself – they weren’t quite tall enough to leap over any of the hedges though!    To end the day, they were able to watch two live races and meet the jockey Leighton Aspell, who has won the Grand National for the last two years in a row.
