Walnut Class went on a trip to Dell Quay.   We learnt about the proposal by the Government to place a continuous coastal footpath around Britain and how the group, Natural England, have been employed to ensure the best possible solution to this.    We walked around Dell Quay to see the impact this footpath would have on the landscape and the people who live/work at Dell Quay.  There are many keen walkers/path users who would love to see this path implemented.   However, we learnt how the  footpath would affect the farmers, conservationists, local businesses and residents.   We recognised how not everybody thinks the path is a good idea!

We stepped into role, becoming one of the groups of people of which the path affects.    We then travelled to County Hall to debate the path in the Council Chambers.   We felt very important and loved debating, especially as we were able to use the microphones!
