Year 2 have loved learning all about travel and adventure this year and as an end to our topic we visited Amberley Museum and Heritage Centre.

We started our day with an exciting train ride and then a ride on a vintage ‘South Down’ open-top bus!

Next we went to the print shop to print a souvenir.

We spent the rest of the day visiting all of the transport exhibits, which included a steam engine, railway locomotives, a ticket office from 1894, a 1920’s bus garage, 1930’s cycle repair shop, 1950’s fire station and the museum of road making. We even made a wheel with help from a wheelwright.

What a fun day!
