We have had a very exciting couple of weeks in Chestnut Class learning about travel and transport. We have found out about the invention of trains, planes and cars, and have been lucky enough to have had lots of visitors to bring our learning to life.

Firstly Matthew (a road safety engineer) visited and told us about old and new cars, how he builds roads and how he keeps people safe on the road.

Next Alena (a train driver) visited and told us all about trains, railways and signals from the past. She showed us her train license and how she drives a train with her iPad!

Lastly Charles (from Transport for London) visited and told us all about the tube stations and maps. He brought along lots of old model underground trains which fascinated us!

We are now really looking forward to our trip to Amberley Museum next week to have a ride in more trains and buses!
