Chestnut have now had an entire half term learning about homes & habitats.

Last week we discovered even more with a visit from Chris, who is in charge of building over 300 homes a year. He let us try on safety clothing and showed us how homes are built – from planning designs, to the people on site, to the finished house.

It was so interesting! The most expensive house he had built was worth £14,000,000. At the moment he is building homes in Bognor.

Yesterday we went on a walk around West Chichester to look at local homes and shops. We saw bungalows, terraced houses, semi-detached houses, detached houses, flats and even a cottage.

We saw animal habitats at the park and river.

We plotted our journey on a map and collected mementos as we went on a ‘story stick.’

We can’t wait for our next trip to find out more about Chichester!
