Thursday 13th July was a great day for a visit to East Head. The children had a wonderful time learning and developing their understanding of East Head and how it is being looked after by the Chichester Harbour Conservancy. They made field sketches, and did an activity to show Longshore Drift. The children also made a line of sandcastles so that they could find out if the tide was going in or out, and how far it moved during our visit. We enjoyed a lovely lunch on the green before learning about the habitats and wildlife that live at East Head. It was a very busy but exciting day, which the pupils of Maple Class and Mulberry Class thoroughly enjoyed. (The teachers quite enjoyed themselves as well.)
