On Monday 11th November, the school held a Remembrance Assembly to remember all those whose lives have been affected by conflict since World War 1.   Some pupils from Year 6 read the book “Where the Poppies Grow”  by Hilary Robinson and Martin Impey.   We held a minute silence at 11.00am and Mrs Morris played the Last Post to mark the start of the one minute silence and The Rouse at the end of the silence.  All through the previous week we sold poppy merchandise from the Royal British Legion.  We are delighted to have raised £597.50.   We would like to say a big thank you to everyone for your support with this.  Below are some pictures of our Remembrance Display  (our display this year also included some purple poppies to represent the animals that have also helped during War), a poem written by a Year Six pupil and the amount raised by our school.
