Nursery Consultation at Parklands Community Primary School

Following the initial consultation on the proposal to lower the school age range from 4–11 years to 2–11 years, the Governing Body is now undertaking the second stage of consultation to open the nursery in September 2026.

The nursery will be part of a Foundation Stage Unit (FSU), providing early education for children aged 2–5 years. This structure will allow children to move smoothly between nursery and Reception within a familiar environment while receiving age-appropriate support tailored to their needs.

Children will have their own dedicated nursery space with access to outdoor play areas, the forest school, and early years learning resources. They will also take part in school activities such as reading buddies, sports days, concerts, and enrichment days, ensuring a connection between the nursery and the wider school community.

We welcome feedback on this proposal and encourage members of the Parklands community to share their thoughts as part of the consultation.
