At Parklands Community Primary School, we are designers with big ideas! Our Design and Technology curriculum inspires creativity and problem-solving as children design, make, and evaluate real-life products. From sewing and textiles to cooking, building structures, and even working with electrics, pupils learn hands-on skills while exploring influential designers for inspiration. Every project follows the design-make-evaluate cycle, giving children the chance to research, plan, create, and refine their work. With cross-curricular links and exciting themes, learning is meaningful and purposeful. By the time they leave Parklands, our pupils are confident, responsible designers who can work safely, think critically, and turn imaginative ideas into amazing creations—all while having fun!
