At Parklands Community Primary School, we are historians uncovering the past! Our History curriculum brings the past to life through exciting Quests, immersive experiences, and hands-on learning. Children explore key events, influential figures, and fascinating periods in time while building skills in enquiry, research, and critical thinking. Lessons follow five golden threads—Leadership, Conflict, Society, Advancements, and Legacy—helping pupils make meaningful connections between past and present. With artefacts, trips, workshops, and creative activities like re-enactments, history becomes engaging and memorable. By the time they leave Parklands, our pupils are curious, confident historians who understand how the past shapes the world today and their role in its future.
